| Bio: | i should start by saying very clearly that, contrary to the username, i am not an angry person. the username comes directly from an ani difranco song which describes me fairly well. "I am NOT an angry girl, but it seems i've got everyone fooled, everytime i say something THEY find hard to hear, they chalk it up to MY anger and never THEIR OWN fear."
so if i am not angry, then who and what am i? i am a 27 year old graduate from the university of rhode island. i have done a lot in my 27 short years. i have built houses with habitat for humanity. i have worked in countless soup kitchens, homeless shelters, battered women refuge centers, and group homes for adults with disabilities. i have gotten my EMT license (although it is now expired), and have worked for both an ambulance and a fire department. i have worked as a dental technician, a special ed teacher and a substance abuse counselor with pregnant women. i have worked for a personal protection and security company and was on security team for major concerts in new england, but i still sleep with a cabbage patch kid. i was hired by cirque du soleil for a summer, and spent 6 months on a research team at a major hospital. not only have i worn a lab coat for a job, i have also worn a badge and glock 17.
but, do not be fooled. i may have done a lot, but i still know how to have fun. i have had purple, pink, orange, and blue hair (not all at the same time). i have a cheesy-ass home done tattoo on my ankle, a tattoo on my lower back, and a 14G barbell in my tongue. i have worn a tinfoil dress out in public, i have pole-danced on a subway, and i have fallen down in public. i studied japanese ju-jitsu, shorin-ryu and shito-ryu karate and have a mean side kick. i have been to 11 different countries, but i have never been to canada. i have also never jumped out of a plane, or jumped off a bridge with a rubber band attached to my feet. i know how to skateboard and surf, although knowledge doesnt equal talent.
i tend to be sarcastic, but that doesnt mean that i am a bitch or that i dont care. i love people. i fight for equality. i am a feminist, although not militant. i am far from perfect, but i strive towards perfecting my character.
